The birds are really hungry

Probably we were the first visitors to feed them that morning, so you can imagine how they welcomed us.

Splash, splash, splash

We had a party at Saluda Shoals park sunday afternoon to celebrate Chinese church's new school year. I like to play with water, but I am also afraid of wet nose and wet eyes. I was very cautious at the beginning. But soon I started to have fun!

My animal friends

The black-footed cat is sooooo cute. I know I've said it again and again, but it's just so cute. I keep asking mama why the meerkat are digging holes. Mama says, 'they are playing hide and seek.'

I ride the giraffe every time I visit the zoo. He can't move up and down, but I love him anyway.

And do you know why I was so happy today? Because baba went to the zoo with us and took us pictures.

Edventure!

Today, mama took me, my friend Xiaoyu and her mama to Edventure. There were so many people there. This is Xiaoyu and I picking peaches. I insisited that they are tomatoes.

I played with water and wet my dress. It's good that mama always have my extra clothes on her bag.

Mama and I spent 2 hours this morning in the zoo with mama's old friend Jennifer and her 15 months old daughter Olivia. Mama and Jennifer hadn't seen each other for four years, and thanks to Facebook, they get in touch again") It's our first time to meet sweet Olivia. We hope to see you again very soon!

my swimming lessons

I had swimming lessons the past two weeks. Baba and mama wanted to sign me up for swimming lessons next year, but they changed their minds last minute, so I got the start this summer. Well, it turned out I didn't like it very much. Nobody was surprised though. I like my teacher Sarah who is really sweet, and I like playing in the water. But when it comes to learning and listening to orders, I didn't like. I don't want to get my nose wet or my eyes wet, but they were wet every day. So I wasn't always happy about my lessons. I have been in school for 8 hours on weekdays, and I am always tired by the time mama picks me up. Who could enjoy wet nose and wet eyes after getting tired? Anyway, it's over now, and everybody is happy. Hope I will do better next summer.

I don't want pictures!

Mama hasn't updated my blog for a while. She got many excuses, such as she doesn't like her new camera; she is tired of phote taking after our summer trip to China and Hawaii; it has been too hot outside for her to do anything and she wouldn't bother to take pictures. But the real reason is just this one: I don't like taking pictures. My answer is always 'No' when she asks if she can take me a picture. I will get mad or scream once I find she's holding the camera in front of me. We've got a lot of pictures like the one below. I enjoyed my ride, but just got mad at the picture part.
