Iris visiting mama's office

Iris came with me to work two days this week. Nobody got to hold her for a second, and she is famous for her screaming. Despite the above, she did pretty well. She had one long nap each day, and watched DVD for a while.

Myrtle beach trip

Our family (the four of us and Bin's parents) had a four day trip to Myrtle beach in mid August, right before Heidi started Kindergarten. It's Iris's first time to go to the beach, also Heidi's first beach trip after our Hawaii trip in 2009. Everybody enjoyed it. The weather was nice. We stayed on the 9th floor. Our hotel room has a great ocean view. We went to the beach right after breakfast every morning. When Iris needed to nap, we took her back to our room, and Heidi continued to play at the beach or in the indoor pool. We played in the indoor pools after lunch.

The floating pool was everybody's favorite. We spent hours and hours in it. Heidi liked me to chase her, and Iris liked drinking the pool water.

80% of the time on the beach Heidi was looking for seashells. We brought back so many seashells. I bought her a couple of jars to keep them. She made necklaces and bracelets and other crafts using the shells.

Iris liked to step on sand and play with sand toys. She got tired after an hour on the beach though.
